N64 price checker now live and updating regularly

Some of you might have noticed that there is a new top-level page on this website. About three months ago, I started work on a Nintendo 64 price checker which gathers online data and compiles it in a way that is easy to read.

There are other price checkers that have been gathering data for much longer, but what makes the one here at n64squid different is that it has some automated statistical tools that analyze the prices over time and detect short and long-term trends automatically. The price checker updates each item’s data daily; so even though the prices there might be showing weekly or monthly prices, the statistical analysis is definitely accurate to the day.

The software has been gathering data since mid-July 2017, so the 6-month trends will only become fully accurate some time in mid-January 2018, but it does work even at this early stage. Also, the more popular items will have more accurate data since the daily sample is larger. Take unpopular game’s prices with a grain of salt.
