Super Mario Christmas Tree

Merry Christmas to all N64 Squid readers! Sorry I missed the post last Monday, I was off visiting family and didn’t have the foresight to schedule one in advance. Anyway to celebrate the occasion, I came across this video from a few years back (how did I miss it?) about a Super Mario Christmas tree.

Save Princess Peach before it’s too late! Use your wits and holiday spirit to complete this quest! Kids of all ages are encouraged to play and explore three generations of Super Mario Bros. games, whimsically crafted into our super retro tree.

This is a little set up for kids to play in Christmas 2016 by Plow Digital. They had three small screens, about the size of a tablet computer, hung up on a Christmas tree alongside a controller for NES, SNES and N64. behind the scenes there was a console with Super Mario Bros, Super Mario World and Super Mario 64 hooked up to each one. They even have a set of cute toadstools to sit on while you play.

There’s not much else to say, it just seems a fun way for kids to enjoy retro gaming before they get the Christmas gift that they’ve been waiting for the whole month of December.

Merry Christmas, and I look forward to seeing you all in 2019!
