Hello and welcome to the first monthly top n64squid.com posts for July 2014! Just to note, since the site was founded in late June, I won’t make an individual post about that month but instead will join it up with July. Lets not waste any more time and get right down to business.

Happy birthday, Nintendo 64 and N64Squid.com!
N64 Squid’s first post, and the 18’th birthday of the Nintendo 64 release in Japan. nothing too special, but I’ll still hold it dear.
Now this is an interesting revelation. I just love it when new things are discovered, and especially something this rare for a console that is already extremely rare.
Retron 5 won’t be supporting Nintendo 64
Old news, but I felt it had to be included on the site anyway. Even though it doesn’t play N64 games, it’s still a great compliment to a N64 fan so that you don’t need so many consoles cluttering up space.
Commentary on the AVGN review of Superman 64
I made this post to commemorate the N64 game of the month on Reddit’s /r/n64. I’m still in the process of figuring out how to make video reviews, so this is what will have to do until then.
Bizarre Nintendo 64 controller art
This is an interesting little post, about a piece of art that someone made for university and is now selling on eBay. I really like strange and creative things like these.
Nintendo 64 demos on the Oculus Rift
The Oculus Rift looks like what the Virtual Boy should have been, and knowing that Nintendo 64 games are going to be released on it makes it all the better.
Nintendo 64 HDMI output – coming soon!
This is a really cool bit of hardware that would be really good to have installed on anyone’s N64, particularly now that composite and S-video ports are becoming more rare on modern televisions and monitors.
Aidyn Chronicles dev cart sold for £124
Another rare cart was located and sold for a hefty price. The PAL version of Aidyn Chronicles tends to go for half the price so this is a real gem to have.
Majora’s Mask release rumoured on 3DS
This is an interesting little rumour, everyone’s been waiting for a remake of Majora’s Mask on 3DS much like they did for Ocarina of Time. Cone on, Nintendo. This is easy money!
Nintendo 64 Old relic – Zelda N64 mod
This is my favourite mod that I’ve had a look at this month. The whole idea of making it have a different texture and relief still blows my mind.
I just love CGR so much I feel that I should just put this post over here. Not really an excelent post, but the source is just that good.
And that’s about it. Hope you enjoyed the list, and I’ll see you next month for more of the same!
