Eurasia Intro
Here is another fairly simple Nintendo 64 demo. Made by Ste from Eurasia in May 1998, it features some wacky graphics jumping around alongside some scrolling text giving people a update on the latest update. It’s like sending a public message before we had twitter.
A few things stand out about this demo in particular:
- It mentions a ‘truth.txt’, it may be an actual file, or it could be just a meme representation of a communal consensus.
- I learned what a ‘lamer’ is. It’s basically the posers of the hacking community, which in this case would be the N64 scene.
- There’s a huge list of usernames in the background, probably all members of Dextrose back in the day.

Hi sceners, once again Eurasia brings a new intro for your pleasure during the long time of awaiting new games. Unfortunately our arrival in the n64 scene didn’t hit the scene like a bomb… hehe… but at least we can supply you with fresh handheld games and trainers. We send some special props to Crazy Nation without you we wouldn’t spend so much time playing 1080, Courtside and many more. Ok we don’t think there’s much to say about the scene when you have already read truth.txt 🙂 hehe… Looking back to our console roots we have to say that there’s too many channels and lamers around that feed other lamers with roms who create homepages and rom support.
