Commodore 64 and the AVGN

This isn’t really a Nintendo 64 related post, but I thought it might be a useful resource. Here are all the times the AVGN has reviewed something on the Commodore 64. Here we go!

Superman on the Commodore 64

AVGN makes a syke about reviewing Superman on the C64 instead of the widely requested N64 version. You can see more about this review in my commentary on it.

Batman: The Caped Crusader on the C64

This is the first in the series of Batman-themed games he plays.

The Count on the Vic-20

Not really a Commodore 64 game, but the Vic 20 counts as part of the Commodore family, so I’ll include it here.

Transformers on the C64

The AVGN plays the Transformers game on the C64 and on the Famicom. Believe it or not, he prefers the Commodore game.

Ninja Turtles games on the C64

This video doesn’t have an ’embed’ function, so I’ll just link to the page on Cinemassacre. James and mike have an unscripted look at various Ninja Turtle games on the Commodore 64. The problem being that they only got the first one to work at all.

Conclusion

You can tell that he’s not a big fan of the Commodore 64 at all. He complains a lot about the controls and how it’s often much better to just use an Atari or Sega Genesis controller instead of the standard one that came with the computer. He also really hates getting the thing to work because it has all of these complicated steps put in place for basic computer function and piracy control that doesn’t happen with standard consoles.

Articles across the web

Ever wondered which Commodore 64 games the Angry video game nerd has reviewed? No? Fuck it, here is the list of C64 reviews by the AVGN.
